Kidderminster Harriers FitC 0 v 5 Meadow Park report by Mitch Bastable
Starting line up: George, James P, Sam, Jordan, Jamie, Aaron, Harry
Sub: Casey
Top of the table Meadow Park were the visitors for what promised to be another tough encounter, and with 4 first team players missing, the team was down to the bare bones.
The first 5 minutes of the match we looked sharper than we have done for a few games, with Harry looking especially on the ball.
Unfortunately after 6 minutes a deflection from a shot put the visitors ahead with a lucky goal.
Despite threats from the visitors Harriers showed good determination, and refused to give in.
After 18 minutes Casey replaced Jamie for his debut game.Tough tackling and a no nonsense style might be the best way to describe a promising debut match from Casey.
George pulled off a good save on the 20th minute, but after 23 minutes another deflection off the defender set up an easy shot for the visitors.
2-0 at half time, but a well fought half from the boys.
In the second half it was much of the same. Dogged defending from Sam and James P kept the score down, along with some fine keeping from George who is starting to grow in confidence.
After 8 minutes a good goal from the visitors put them 3-0 in front.
4 minutes later another deflection off a free kick made the score 4-0.
After 15 mins Jamie replaced Harry.
On the 18th minute Meadow Park were awarded a penalty but a fine save from George kept the score at 4-0.
Harry replaced Jordan who put in another good performance.
On the 21st minute a great solo run and a goal from the visitors made the score 5-0.
Jordan replaced James P, and did a good job in defence for the last 10 minutes.
We had a good end to the game, with Aaron working his socks off up front trying to create a couple of chances.
5-0 final score, but nothing to be ashamed of. We need to play like that against the teams around us, and we would pick up points.
MOM- Harry
