16 Feb 2008 - Match Report - KHFitC U11s (S&DYFL)

Withymoor South 2 v 0 KHFitC

Starting Line up: Amadeo, Sam, Jordan, Jamie, Harry, Casey, Aaron

Subs: George, Ryan, Patrick, James P, James S, Charlie

A full squad for the first time in 3 weeks caused a slight headache for the manager, as we visited Withymoor South: a game in which we hoped to get something out of.

After 2 minutes a failure to clear the ball from Jordan led to an immediate goal. A real disappointing start to the match.

But that was the only time we had any pressure from the home team for the rest of the half!

We looked good on the ball, piled the pressure on, and did everything but put the ball in the net.

Harry had a particularly good first half and linked well with Aaron, who in his new forward role closed the defence down and set up a few good passes.

Casey worked hard in centre midfield and got stuck in again, and with Sam monitoring the situation at the back we looked like we could come back.

James S replaced Jamie on the 18th minute, and right up to half time Harriers were the better team.

At half time Charlie replaced Aaron, James P replaced Harry and Patrick replaced Jordan.

The swap about seemed to disrupt our pace, but it is a matter of trying to get everyone a game. With competition tough, when a full squad is available you need everyone to be at the top of their game.

However one or two players looked like there was no urgency and we went into defensive mode.Noted by the manager I somewhat think!

The home team scored after 4 minutes, and frustration set in amongst the players and a few parents.

Ryan replaced James S and Jamie replaced James P.

Not much to report for the rest of the game, apart from we didn't fulfill our potential.

Harry replaced Ryan and caused a little more danger, and Jordan replaced Jamie for the last 2 minutes.

Same old summary:If everyone was at the top of their game at the same time, this would have been at least a draw.
