23 Feb 2008 - Match Report - KHFitC U11s (S&DYFL)
Rock Sports Yth 2 v 1 KHFitC - report by Mitch Bastable
Starting Line up: Amedeo, Sam, Patrick, Casey, Harry, Charlie, Aaron
Subs: Jamie, James S, James P, Jordan, Ryan
Once again a full squad was available at the manager's disposal, and a strong line up of players based on their current form was chosen.
Good early pressure from the Harriers was applied, with Charlie looking sharp in a new right midfield role.
Harry once again looked good, and is looking a million miles better than a few weeks ago. The manager did comment at the end of the match he thought it was one of H's best performances for the club. Well done Harry!
Amedeo made a couple of good saves when Rock did manage to attack but Harriers got the best out the first 15 minutes.
James S replaced Aaron who didn't look as sharp as the previous 3 weeks, and with competition tough you must be at your best to stay on the pitch.
Unfortunately whilst the sub was been made Rock attacked and a fifteen yard shot found the net. 1-0 to Rock against the run of play.
But 2 minutes later a shot from Harry deflected of James S foot and went in the net. 1-1 with James S claiming the goal.
Even stevens for the next 10 minutes and then Jordan replaced an impressive Charlie.
Casey looked dynamic in the centre of midfield , and once again his tough tackling, determination and aggression shone through.
A good shot from James S on the stroke of half time went just wide.
At half time Jamie replaced Jordan and the game was evenly matched for the first 5 minutes. Then Rock got into their game and finally began to prove why they're in the top four. Good sharp passing from them, but Harriers stood firm.
James P replaced James S after 12 minutes and Ryan replaced Sam after 15.
Then just as we thought Patrick deserved a free kick for being pushed the referee allowed the game to continue and they scored. A very unlucky decision not to get the free kick!!
Charlie replaced Harry and Jordan replaced Jamie for the final 10 minutes but we couldn't find the second goal.
2-1 final score. Some good individual performances, and with a massive game against bottom team Kidderminster Lions next week confidence should be high.
