16 Feb 2008 - Match Report - KHFitC U15s (MJPFL)

Brackley Town 1 V 2 KHFitC U15s (aet) - (MJPFL CUP) - report by Jackie Coley

This cup quarter final was played at Brackley Town’s stadium and was an extremely tight affair which could not be decided in normal time.  Brackley had the lion’s share of the possession in the first half and should have found themselves one up but top scorer Kyle Bateman shot narrowly wide.  The home team was made to pay when Redd Savage scored to round off a fine move by Kiddy.  In the second half Bateman equalised for Brackley whilst the visitors spurned several good chances.  The game needed extra time and with 4 minutes remaining Josh Sinclair sealed a semi-final place for Kiddy. This was a high quality game in which both teams played their part and contributed to in a good spirit.  Kiddy now have an extremely difficult semi-final against Histon – second in the northern division of the Under 15 league, at Kenilworth Town on Saturday 1 March at 3.00pm.
