Nunnery Hawks 1 v 3 KHFitC Hawks - report by Matt Evans

Saturday morning 10am a must win league game kicked off.

Saturday morning 10.02am and Jack makes it 1 nil.

Saturday morning 10.07am and Jack makes it 2 nil

Saturday morning 10.25am and Dan makes it 3 nil.

With Jamie out for a month with a broken finger and Jordan poorly we were down to the bare bones today. The starting lineup consisted of Lewis in goal, George starring in defence alongside Dan, and a 4 man midfeld of Haydn, Byron, David and Jack.

We got off to our best start ever going 2 nil up inside 7 minutes. We were in dreamland against a team who could have leapfrogged us if they had won.

The first goal was scored by Jack following a through ball by David. He scored again 5 minutes later when he hassled the defender into losing the ball and rifled in from the edge of th box. 

David was passing the ball around with style using both left and right foot.

Half time came and Gareth replaced Haydn.

The pressure continued and Dan appeared from nowhere to blast one in from the edge of the box following a corner.

Jack O and Alex then came on to replace Byron and David.

We lost our shape in the last  10 minutes, conceded a goal and came under pressure.

Man of the match today was David for a classy performance.

A good 3 points and with results going our way we moved up a position.
