8 Mar 2008 - Match Report - KHFitc U11s - (S&DYFL)

Bewdley Town 3 v 0 KHFitC - report by Mitch Bastable

Starting line up: Amedeo, Patrick, James P, Harry, Casey, Jamie, Charlie

Subs: Aaron, Ryan, James S, Jordan

A cold and slightly wet morning arrived and a trip to Bewdley Town was the latest fixture.

The boys started well with an even first 5 minutes, with Patrick looking very focused at the back.

Unfortunately on the 6th minute Bewdley won a free kick, and scored with a 25 yard dead ball strike.

Harriers tried to pull the game back with Harry coming close on the 8th minute. His shot just went wide of the post.

Some good passing play emerged from both teams, with Charlie forcing a save from their keeper on the 14th minute.

At the other end an Amadeo save was followed with a kick in the head from teammate Jamie, who wasn't sure whether he had retrieved the ball or not. Funny to watch, not sure whether Amadeo would agree with that though!!

On the 20th minute Jordan replaced Jamie and James S replaced Charlie.

James P looked solid in defence alongside Patrick, in what I thought was his best performance in a long time. Well done James P, let's keep it up!

Right on half time the visitors hit the bar, so I guess you could say we were lucky to be only 1-0 down at half time.

The second half started evenly again with Patrick looking like his old self again, whilst Harry continued to fire some shots, although none of them hitting the target.

James S also hit a shot just wide......and perhaps these are the chances we need to put away?? We were all over Bewdley at this stage, but we maybe lack the killer instinct.

Aaron replaced Casey on the 10th minute, and settled well into the central midfield role.

On the 12th minute a good turn and shot form the Bewdley striker made it 2-0.

Ryan replaced James P, Casey replaced James S and Charlie replaced Harry.

We still pushed but couldn't get the all important goal.

Jamie replaced Casey. On the 22nd minute another free kick from distance was scored, and the game fizzled out during the last few minutes.

3-0. Not a bad performance by the boys, but we need to take the chances.
