KHFitC Hawks 1 v 4 Cookley Boys – report by Matt Evans

Back down to earth with a jolt, our first defeat in League since last December on our first midweek fixture of the season. Cookley Boys played very well, we didn't compete as much as usual in a very stop-start game.

2 nil down at half time and we looked out of it, though Dave had other ideas, from the kick off he took them on by himself and got one back.

We had brief hope but a classy Cookley team saw them break through again for the 4th.

We made some changes, putting Jordan in goal and changing people around to try and bring the fun back. Cookley got another but at this point it didn't really matter.

Man of the match today for a superb display was Dave, Byron also battled very well.

We will pick ourselves back up though, there will be many more highs and many more lows but that’s football.
