18 Apr 2008 - Match Report - KHFitC U12s (S&DYFL)
Wyre Forest Panthers Youth 5 v 1 KHFitC - report by MECA (aka Mark Coton)
Harriers starting line up:
*1 - Bisco (GK), 4 - Hamiltezo, 7 - Jimo Santos, 8 - Whita, 10 - Samuao, 11 - Joninho, 12 - Coteca,
14 - Ashlardo Pau, 15 - Benjamaca, 16 - Adisco, 17 - Broisco.
It was a game of two halves. Early doors, everyone associated with the team was over the moon as they more than held their own with a spirited performance against a promotion chasing team and were gutted to go in at the break only 1 - 0 up.
Second half Harriers never really got out of the blocks and failed to build on their good start. Unfortunately tiredness crept in and belief began to drain. Harriers failed to clear their lines on a number of occasions and couldn’t deal with the bouncability of the ball. A further four goals were conceded, leaving the travelling Harriers’ supporters feeling as sick as a parrot.
Everyone thought it was all over but the fat lady hadn’t started singing and Joninho burst through in the 33rd minute of time added on to place the ball in the onion bag with a low, sweet left-footed shot that gave the home keeper little chance. The consolation goal went a long way to raising the spirits of the loyal Red and White Barmy Army who had travelled all of the way from Kidderminster for this away fixture.
Although letting in a total of five, the final score flattered the opposition.
At the end of the day Harriers were very disappointed to come away with nothing but are planning to take one game at a time and hope to reverse the current trend by securing a win in their final game of the season on Sunday.

Mike from Wyre Forest Panthers Youth: 'Well done KHFitC U12s, you played really well, and that score shouldn't have been 5-1, it was a much closer game. Great goal Jordy mate and good luck next season lads.'
