KHFitC 2 v 3 Worcester Youth Juniors

Team: Charlie, Ben A, Jordy, Ashley, Jack, Macauley, Ben G, Harry, Ryan, Fletch and Danny

We got off to a bad start 1 nil down after a few minutes (was it a cross or shot).  It took time for us to settle; Charlie made a couple of saves and kept us in the game.  We started to put a few moves together and Ryan, Fletch and Danny all going close, but things got worse, attack down the right and we were 2 nil down.  Not long until h-t Harry took a run down the wing, crossed to Danny who could not quite get to the ball, but under pressure the defender put the ball in his own net.   We looked a little sharper after the goal, Jack, Macauley and Ben G working hard in midfield, but still we went in at h-t 2-1 down.

Second half on came Sam, Ade and H for Harry, Danny and Ryan.  Straight from the kick off Harriers attacked, Sam and H having shots at goal just off target.  Ashley, Jordy and Ben A were working hard in defence making some great tackles and also second half substitute Ade was getting stuck in.   Charlie made a great save which kept us in the game.  After a few more changes on the pitch Sam’s  through ball fell to Harry who ran, collected the ball, and shot past the keeper to make the score 2 -2.  WYJ hadn’t given in and despite more hard work by the team we were looking a bit tired after a hard game and finally conceded a third goal.  Very close to the final whistle.  Unlucky lads I’m sure we’ll bounce back in our next game.
