6 Oct 2007 - Match Report KHFitC Hawks U9s (S&DYFL)

Man of the Match - Jack

Droitwich Foxes 1 v 0 KHFitC Hawks - Report by Matt Evans

4-3-2-1, our countdown has come, we can rocket up the league now. 4 goals conceded against Falcons, 3 against Foxes, 2 against Cobras and just 1 against Foxes this week. Our time has come, I predict a clean sheet and a bucket load of goals next week. After this result today we must have become one of the most feared teams in the league. The warm up is over, our season begins now.

Massive changes today really pushed us in the right direction. Lewis started in goal and as his confidence grew so did the distance of his goal kicks, one came out of the middle of the boot, cleared the half way line, hit a defender and went out for a corner.

Man of the match Jack was a giant in defence hacking at anything that moved and clearing with some quality down the lines. He formed a stong partnership with Haydn who never gives up or pulls out of a challenge, which could be key to our success this year.

Dan again dominated well in midfield, his strength and vision caused problems for the Foxes all game

Jamie playing out of goal for the first time in his long career was outstanding, never pulling out of a challenge.

George came close of 2 occasions, nearly giving us our first goal in almost 3 agonising hours of football.

Byron showed some quality on the left, getting stuck into challenges all game and threading some balls through the eye of a needle (the Foxes defence was so tight and well organised).

David was always a threat up front with his skill and close ball control.

Jack O and Alex got into some great positions and were unlucky not to score at times.

Next week our time will come, and we can't wait until the champions league begins. We could be an outside bet to lift the trophy come the end of the season.

Well done boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
