Nunnery Falcons 0 v 4 KHFitC Falcons (Cup)
A cup match against a First division team, ended in the bookies favour with a four nil defeat. The coaches probably learnt more than the players, seeing first hand that it really is a game of two halves. Nunnery played two different tactics in each half, uphill was short and tight, down hill was long and fast.
We went down one nil in the last minute of the first half from a long bouncing speculative shot that eluded defence and keeper. On the whistle we were buoyant and still in the game.
We defended well but struggled to match their pace and accuracy of passes, allowing them to create space, time and close us down early. Lewis E made some spectacular saves and showed no fear
diving at the feet of the strikers. All of our lads kept pressing and produced some good passages of play just failing to find the net when opportunities were created.
