KHFitC Falcons 2 v 4 Droitwich Foxes -  League Cup - report by Matt Dalton

A very entertaining match on such a cold morning, between two good teams. The Falcons set themselves across the pitch passing the ball around and looking the stronger of the two teams within the first 10 minutes, creating chances but lacking that final touch to score.

Two penalties within two minutes at either end of the pitch around the 10 minute mark saw the score at 1-1. Both for hand ball.

Having looked strong in defence and midfield the falcons swapped their sweeper for an attacker but unfortunately Droitwich seized the opportunity to break away & score to make it 2-1 by half time.

Early in the second half Droitwich scored again having scrambled ball over the line after a fine save from Rory in goal.

The Falcons attacked and attacked but could not find the net with chances begging and yet again Droitwich scored on the counter attack to make the score 4-1.

Eventually the Falcons scored with a glorious goal with a shot from outside of the box to the top left hand corner of the goal.

The Falcons ended the match in their usual style pressing even harder trying to score but to no avail.

The match finished at 2-4 to Droitwich.
