All about us.............

Our aim is to bring together Children of all ages and abilities to play and enjoy football, whilst respecting themselves and others. Well how did it begin? 3 weeks prior to the start of the 2005/06 season an idea was born from the KHFC Community Team about putting a team into the Stourport & District Youth Football League.
With help from a keen bunch of parents, it was decided we would go for two teams, U10s and U11s - a very brave idea, because apart from a husband and wife duo, no one else had any knowledge of what to do - so it was mad panic all around.
Yet, with barely 2 weeks to go to the start of the season, we had been able to form two teams, each with a squad of just 7 players, borrowing kit for the first few months and with help from the League we kicked off our first games! Playing teams with squads of 12-13 players our 7 players were shattered, but kept playing on.
Many said that we wouldn't be here this year and even we or the club would get bored, yet we are still here and, in fact, we are growing. Getting the background work sorted has been the hardest - so where are we now?
Well, we start our THIRD SEASON - 2008/09 season with 6 teams in the S&DYFL, 3 teams in the Midland Junior Premier Football League and new this year an Under 15 Team in the Mercian Festival Junior Football league. We now have well over 160 youngsters signed up under the banner of KHFitC and more wanting to join. In a short space of time, we have also put in place the framework within the Club that has enabled us to gain the prestigious Football Association Charter Standard. All our Teams are run by FA qualified coaches or people who are working towards qualification. In addition we have a Child Welfare Officer on the Committee and we have trained first aid people available.
The whole ethos has been about the children having fun, enjoying playing in a team - and of course enjoying this wonderful game of Football.
We have seen many teams that have been built up to believe that winning is the only acceptable result. Yes, it is good to win and life is about winning and losing but in all, it must be fun and that each player in the team gets to play, no matter how they play.
Pride, Passion and Belief is something that we all look towards.
It is hoped that your son or daughter enjoy being part of 'our' club and that they tell others about us - we will always welcome children to training. If any parent or coach would like to help out, please contact us via the website.
In conclusion, I would like to pay a huge compliment to John Davis of Hire-It! for all his support and especially in helping to fund the new football strips for all our players.
